Privacy Policy

Scribe ("Scribe", "we", "us") is a meeting-notes assistant operated by Faxter. This policy explains what data we access, how we use it, who we share it with, and the choices you have. By signing in you agree to this policy.
Information we access
- Account & identity — when you sign in with Google we receive your name, email address, and profile info to create and identify your account.
- Google Calendar (read-only) — we read your calendar events (title, time, meeting link, organiser, and attendee list) solely to detect which meetings to join and to route notes to the right people. We do not modify your calendar.
- Meeting content — when Scribe joins a meeting you or your calendar directs it to, it records the meeting and produces a transcript in order to generate notes.
- Integration credentials — API keys you provide for Linear or Trello, stored encrypted, used only to create tasks you ask us to create.
How we use it
- Generate meeting minutes, decisions, and action items with owners and due dates.
- Email the notes to the meeting's attendees.
- File action items as issues/cards in the task tools you connect.
- Show you your meetings and settings, and operate and secure the service.
We do not sell your data, and we do not use your Google user data, meeting content, or transcripts to train generative AI or machine-learning models.

Sub-processors we share data with
We share only what each provider needs to deliver the service:
- Recall.ai — sends the meeting bot and produces recordings/transcripts.
- LLM provider (DeepSeek) — processes the transcript to produce the notes.
- Resend — delivers the notes emails.
- Linear / Trello — only if you connect them, to create the tasks you request.
- Google — for authentication and calendar access.
Data retention
- We store generated meeting notes and metadata so you can view your meeting history.
- We retrieve the transcript to produce notes; we do not retain meeting recordings.
- Integration credentials are kept until you remove them or delete your account.
Your choices
- Disconnect Scribe any time from your Google Account permissions.
- Turn off auto-join, skip individual meetings, or remove integrations in the app.
- Request deletion of your account and associated data by emailing us.
Security
Data is encrypted in transit (HTTPS). Integration secrets are encrypted at rest. Access is scoped per user.
